Red River, NM July 2006
We had a good time in Red River. It was cool with rain most days we were there, but fairly warm during the midday. I think the best part was playing disc golf in the park every morning. I'm still not very good at it, but at least it is nice to be outdoors and running around. While we were there we saw bear footprints, it is a drought here and all the animals are coming to town for food. The first night we were there they were trying to scare a bear away from the town. Apparently, some residents were feeding the bear and encouraging it to come to their cabin. It was frightful since they used M-80's and rubber bullets to scare it away. We didn't know what was going on!
